Accomplished mixologist and tenured wine buyer Eric Zollicoffer brings two decades of restaurant and hospitality industry experience to his role as beverage manager of Sotto Sotto and URestaurants. Blending classical techniques and sophisticated taste with his formal education and seasoned professional background, Zollicoffer works continuously to integrate his innovative beverage philosophy at Sotto Sotto. His effortless charm coupled with unmatched dexterity has made him an admired and well-respected member of the URestaurants family.
A master craftsman in designing handmade cocktails using complementing liquors and the freshest ingredients, Zollicoffer offers a refined collection of artisanal spirits and specialty drinks, spanning common classics and original libations to seasonal signatures and creative variations on the antique cocktail.
Zollicoffer curates all of the wine for Sotto Sotto and Fritti, and handpicks each selection on the restaurants’ impressive lists that are exclusively Italian and regionally diverse. Sotto Sotto’s award-winning wine list incorporates more than 160 wines ranging in variety from commonly known selections such as Chianti, Barolo, Barbaresco, and Brunello di Montalcino to more exclusive, adventurous wines, including Roero Arneis, Sagrantino di Montefalco, Nero di Troia, and Taurasi.
Zollicoffer received advanced certification in 2008 from the innovative mixology education and certification program Bar Smarts, a highly specialized and accredited industry training course instructed by the Beverage Alcohol Resource (BAR), and is a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the United States Bartenders’ Guild, an organization working to enhance the image of the bartending profession to the public while also supporting the wine and spirits industry. Prior to joining URestaurants, Zollicoffer honed his craft as a server and bartender at Bacchanalia, Georgia Grille, and Chow restaurants in Atlanta, GA.
